You can make a difference - in your own parish and throughout the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Once a year, the Lenten Appeal provides us with the opportunity to bring the love of Christ to those in need. In addition to the funds returned to each parish, a tremendous amount of good is accomplished throughout the Archdiocese and beyond in these ways:
- Educating Children and Youth - directing help to schools, religious education programs, youth ministry, college campuses and the O'Dwyer Retreat Center.
- Strengthening the Church - especially in high poverty areas of the inner city and rural western parts of Maryland through Archdiocesan and parish-to-parish grants for ministry support, emergency repairs and neighborhood revitalization.
- Helping the Poor and Those In Need - supporting the great network of Catholic Charities agencies, St. Vincent de Paul, Western Maryland Interfaith Housing, Crisis Pregnancy Centers, and reaching beyond our Archdiocesan borders to Catholic parishes that serve very poor communities throughout the United States and in Haiti.
The Archbishop's Lenten Appeal offers you the opportunity to make one gift - one act of faith - that brings Christ to people and people to Christ in so many wonderful ways.
