Bishop Newman,
I thank God for the opportunity that I have had to work with you for some of those 25 years as bishop. Your compassion and commitment to the Catholic church have inspired me and gives me great hope. I pray that I might continue to serve as you have with great faith and courage.

Bishop Newman,
Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary of being made a bishop! Your entire priesthood has been one of service but much of your time has been spent in service to Catholic education. From your days as Principal of St. Paul's Latin School, to your time as Superintendent of Catholic Schools and as Secretary of Catholic Education, you have always assisted the schools, the teachers and most importantly the students of Catholic schools. At Calvert Hall, your alma mater, you have been most generous with your time and your participation. Thanks for your many years of service to the Archdiocese of Baltimore and to Catholic education. Thanks also for your many kindnesses extended to Calvert Hall. May God bless you with many more years of faith-filled service!
Lou Heidrick and all your friends at Calvert Hall
Dear Bishop Newman,
My most heartfelt and sincere congratulations on the 25th anniversary of your ordination as a Bishop. In the many years we have known one another, you have always been a model for that which is the best about the Catholic Church and particularly as an example of the compassion, mercy and love we should be granting to all our fellow brothers and sisters. I thank you for the opportunities to work with you in the past, my best wishes for a healthy and productive future to do those things which your heart leads you to and may God continue to bless you and all that your represent to the Archdiocese of Baltimore. From all of us at Our Lady Queen of Peace our very best to you.
Shalom,
Barry Shadrach

Hi Bishop Newman,
What a wonderful time to thank you for all you have done for the Archdiocese of Baltimore not only for the last 25 years, but for a lifetime! Thanks to your leadership and support prison ministry in the Archdiocese was begun and has flourished. I keep a photo on my fridge of you and Msgr. Ed Staub with my son, Justin, at his confirmation. It's a wonderful reminder of your faithful service to the Church. May God bless you and keep you safe.

Hello Bishop Newman,
Many congratulations on your 25th Anniversary of being made a bishop! It has been my pleasure to have known you for about 21 of those years.
You confirmed my daughter, Denise, when she was in the 7th grade at St. Jane Frances in Riviera Beach – and she’s now 32. How time flies.
You have been a great blessing to the people of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. My sincere thanks for your dedication and service.
In love and prayer,
Rosalie
