Special Programs Offered

The maximum inclusion of students with disabilities is included as a major strategic goal under the key issue of Diversity for the Strategic Plan for Catholic Schools. Program initiatives include appointing a Special Needs Curriculum Committee; developing a manual for school-based Child Consult Teams; and partnering with the local colleges in designing a graduate certificate program for training team members.

Mental retardation; hearing, speech/language, visual, orthopedic impairments; autism; specific learning disability

Instructional Models Used
Resource room/pullout program; separate classes with mainstreaming back to general education classrooms; separate school for children with disabilities

PRIDE is an innovative archdiocesan program designed to meet the special needs of students of average and above average intelligence with minimal learning disabilities in grades K-8.
